Nemibakhsham - Will not forgive

Farsi Poem, Will never forgive you by Babak Eshaghy. Watch it on Youtube. Of course the translation is not exact and does not rhyme but at least you’ll understand what it says:

This bloody sword, the cloak, the disgraceful beard, the evil force, Know this, I will never forgive

This torture of life, the rope that hangs people, the deathly silence of jail, know this, I will never forgive

All those leaders, activists & generals you have killed, know this, I will never forgive

Bloody body of Farokhzad (Iranian artist & activist) crying from under the blood&dirt, listen you butcher, Know this, I will never forgive

Swear on Sirjani’s (writer who criticized the regime) blood who was tied in jail, you murderer, know this, I will never forgive

I will not forgive the tortures, the horrifying dark nights, the blades that cut the tongue, know this I will never forgive

Batons, stones and flogs, ill-tempered Basijis, forcing women to cover up, know this, I will never forgive

It is no world when the world rests in darkness, sitting cold and asleep, know this, I will never forgive

Even when Iran is freed, you soulless sheikh, no matter where you hide, know this, I will never forgive, know this, I’ll never forgive

Torabi in the Parliament (Majls) blasting the regime's Coup d'Etat

Okay I translated Torabis’s speech from Farsi the best that I could. Torabi talks so fast that his speech at times sounds incoherent. For his speech I give him an F because he talks too quickly, making it tough for his audience to follow him but for the content of his speech I give him a better grade. His problem is that he’s afraid to run out of time and wants to fit 1000 points in 7 minutes! It is obvious from his speech that he is extremely religious, but nevertheless, he gets some good points across. I just wish that he had had a more focused and shortened speech and had talked slower to get his message across. Here is what I gathered from his lightening speed of a monologue: Torabi in the Parliament (Majls) blasting the regime's Coup d'Etat who says:

They have given me 7 minutes to speak and I have much to say but it is difficult to do it in 7 minutes.

To Muhammad al-Māhdī [the 12th Imam who fundamentalist Shiites believe is supposed to arrive to destroy tyranny and falsehood, and to bring justice and peace to the world]: Why don’t you come and put an end to our waiting, bring us peace and free us from cruelty and violations. Oh to you who awaits, do not be sad but have patience. He will arrive at the turn of dawn. Dear Mahdi why don’t you come to see those who once believed that Imam and the revolution were an interference in the leadership today have become believers in Imam and have become revolutionaries.

To the Majlis [the parliament]: why the differences in opinions are not allowed in the Majlis? Why does the Majlis only appears to point to problems and never to resolve issues? Why doesn’t the majlis allow the accused to speak and listen to what they have to say and instead only invites and listen to the accusers? To the accusers: why are you better at talking than listening? Why do ministers label the representatives by numbers and give importance in accordance of number? I don’t understand why you give more importance to one representative over another by numbering them as 1 or 2. Why is the numbering of representatives more important than what they have to say?

Why ministers do not have patience to solve the social and economical problems of people and instead put a read circle around important issues and ignore and push them away them by using force? Why are you allowing your forces to arrest and detain and kill people? They [the opposition] have sworn that the right way is not to use weapons. Why did you arrest people even before the street protests started? Why did you arrest those [the 1979 revolutionaries] who were once political prisoners in favor of our Islamic revolution and joined forces with us and embraced us?

Why did you arrest those who had voted for the opposition? Why are you pointing at those who once helped us [the 1979 revolutionaries] and accuse them of wanting to bring down our government? Why is there no uniformity and allowance for people to choose and instead the revolutionary guards are used to arrest people? Why aren’t you paying attention to what the people want? Why instead of showing evidence as to who won the election, you try to shut people up? Why aren’t people allowed to burry the dead? Attacking and treating kind people ruthlessly isn’t a nice thing to do. Why are the Friday prayers being used for political purpose and for giving warnings to people?

Okay at this point I give up on translating word by word because he’s talking at 100 miles per hour and I highly doubt that even the parliament can follow his speech. But basically Torabi finishes by saying:

The government should not let the problems go so out of hand and ignore them. They should be more vigilant and help resolve issues before they become too large. The government should respect human rights. It is not nice to attack people. The government should protect and help the poor instead of spending money on frivolous causes or giving away money to other governments. Where is the leadership? Why is the government getting into projects that do not produce result for our cities and our country? They need to work on many areas such as making sure the entire country has enough clean drinking water, upgrading the infrastructure and bettering the lives of people.
